About INTERNSHIP ENTRO

ENTRO pioneered the internship program in the Nile Basin since 2011. To date, over 180 interns have been enrolled in 18 different batches: 3 batches under the Eastern Nile Planning Model (ENPM) project, 14 batches under the Nile Cooperation for Results (NCORE) project, and 1 batch under the Nile Cooperation for Climate Resilience (NCCR) project. The main objective of the program is to support Eastern Nile cooperation by creating a knowledge community among young professionals to support the emergence of a shared understanding about the resource base – its potentials, the risks it is facing, and its future. Another objective is to help a new generation of potential water professionals and leaders acquire new skills, develop new regional collaborations, and contribute multi-sectoral perspectives to enhance ENTRO’s knowledge and analytical services.
