We exist for the recipients of healthcare and social care, and our mission is to contribute to safe, high-quality healthcare and social care that complies with laws and regulations, through supervision and licensing. IVO is responsible for supervising healthcare, healthcare professionals, social services, and operations under the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Disabilities (LSS). The agency is also responsible for licensing operations that require a license. IVO is a knowledge organization. Today we have just over 780 employees with various competencies and backgrounds: nurses, social workers, doctors, lawyers, social scientists, communicators, HR specialists, economists, and more.
