Tasks in the Statistics Business Area As the statistical state office in Germany's most populous federal state, we collect and publish comprehensive data on social and economic conditions. We are committed to the principles of neutrality, objectivity, scientific independence, and statistical confidentiality. - We conduct official statistics on the basis of EU, federal, and state law. - We create aggregate accounts, forecasts, model calculations, and analyses. - We support and advise the state parliament and the state administration on statistical and mathematical issues. - We participate in the preparation and conduct of elections and referendums.
