INDEMIL began its activities in Paranavaí in 1984 producing cassava derivatives for supermarkets. From 1992 onwards, it began producing for the industrial line and supplying directly to other industries. In 1996, it started producing modified starches, glucose syrup, and their derivatives from cassava. In 2001, it inaugurated its new cassava derivatives unit for the industrial line in the municipality of Guaíra - PR. In 2004, it began processing corn, producing glucose syrup, regular and modified starches. Starting in January 2013, it inaugurated a plant with a processing capacity of 300 tons/day using the Wet Milling system for corn derivative production. By February 2015, this capacity was expanded to 600 tons/day. In 2016, INDEMIL expanded its product range with a new line of modified starches for paper and corrugated board. In the same year, it began producing pre-gelatinized modified starches. Currently, INDEMIL is one of the main corn processors in the country, producing glucose syrup, regular and modified starches, and ingredients for animal feed. It is also a reference in the market for cassava derivatives for industries, producing regular and modified starches, industrial sour tapioca starch, pre-mix for cheese bread, among others.
