The Jô Clemente Institute (IJC) is a Civil Society Organization that has been working for over 65 years for the cause of people with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Rare Diseases. A reference and pioneer in the Newborn Screening Test (Teste do Pezinho) in Brazil, we perform over 2.5 million tests annually. With a solid commitment to Social Inclusion, we work in the Defense and Guarantee of Rights, as well as producing and sharing knowledge through scientific research. We work from birth to the aging process, promoting the development of skills that boost schooling and Supported Employment. We also offer specialized legal advice for families and all the necessary support so that the people we serve have autonomy and quality of life in all phases. The IJC is Ours!
