About Hy-Flex Corporation

We are a family owned business that has been manufacturing coating equipment since 1964. We currently have about 60 employees and have been steadily growing for the last decade. We also operate a contract manufacturing shop that has laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, and assembly operations. Both parts of the business operate from our Knightstown facility. We are owned by Allen Mills who is in his 40s and is a Purdue graduate of engineering. Our facility is 60,000 square feet with 9,000 sq feet of office space. Our plant operates one shift currently and starts at 6:00 am and ends at 2:30 pm when no overtime is required. Plant employees can expect up to 10 hours a week of overtime 20-30% of the year and some periods of 16 hours a week, but this is much less common. The office hours are 7:00 am -4:00 pm for the production office and 8:00 am - 5:00 pm for the business and engineering office.
