About HUF Center

The Hope, Unity and Freedom Center (H.U.F. Center) is a licensed, community-based, psychosocial day support program serving adults living with mental, behavioral, and emotional health challenges. Our mission is simple but powerful: to enhance the mental, emotional, and physical functioning of people living in psychiatric distress. We provide comprehensive, structured services for male and female adults with primary mental health diagnoses, dual diagnoses, and co-occurring conditions such as substance use disorders. Through group and individual counseling, life skills development, social skills training, community integration, and daily support, our participants build independence, improve self-awareness, and strengthen the tools needed for everyday living. Our diverse, compassionate team is made up of highly qualified professionals, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP), Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP), program nurses, and dedicated support staff with over 20 years of combined experience. Together, we create a safe, supportive, and structured environment where healing and growth are possible. With multiple locations in Richmond, Colonial Heights, and Norfolk, Virginia, the H.U.F. Center is committed to reducing psychiatric hospitalizations and increasing stability through consistent care, meaningful connection, and a focus on hope, unity, and freedom.
