The Hospital was founded in 1959 in response to a demand for surgical, obstetrical, and emergency care, and has now become one of the largest private hospitals in the country, with over 189,000 annual consultations and nearly 250,000 clinical cases. Our facilities are located in the center of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in four adjacent eight-story buildings. It has 195 beds and a 24-hour Emergency Service, including Pediatric Emergencies, Traumatology, and ICU managed by Intensivists. Our services are aimed at private patients, insured individuals from all companies, and we have an agreement with the Canary Islands Health Service. The HPS family comprises over 200 doctors and professionals, and more than 11,000 interventions are performed in our facilities. HPS is qualified in Group VI, Level III of the Hospital Qualification established by the National Government in the Resolution of May 1980, this being the highest qualification for a private hospital in the Canary Islands.
