Hoval heating and climate systems are now exported to over 50 countries. The foundation for this success was laid in 1897 by Gustav Ospelt Sr. with a locksmith's shop in Vaduz in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Due to the material metal and skillful management, the family business received permission in 1932 to erect and distribute heating appliances and systems. Hoval has been a registered trademark since 1945. Internationalization began in 1955 with a license agreement for the production of steel boilers with Krupp GmbH in Germany. Hoval steel heating boilers thus began their triumphant march across Europe. The Hoval name developed into a term of quality in the heating industry due to its high energy efficiency and repeatedly enriched the market with innovative pioneering achievements, to which developments in heat pump technology and process heat were added in the 1970s. Today, Hoval is a complete provider of heating and climate systems with a focus on renewable energy sources, offering complex and individual solutions for optimal customer comfort.
