About Hoteles Poseidon

Hoteles Poseidon is the commercial brand of Hoteles Devesa S.L.U., the current company that encompasses the Poseidon, Poseidon Palace, and Poseidon Playa hotels in Benidorm, as well as the Hotel Playas de Guardamar in Guardamar de Segura. The company was founded after a long family history in hospitality in the city of Benidorm, dating back to 1928, when the grandfather of the current company president, Pere Joan Devesa, opened a bar. Subsequently, the family opened a guesthouse, and in 1973, siblings Domingo, Pere Joan, and Josefa Devesa opened the first hotel, followed by two more in the nineties. At the end of the millennium, the company looked towards the interior of the Valencian Community, creating the Hotel Alahuar, a charming small mountain hotel in Benimaurell, Vall de Laguar. In 2007, the Hotel La Estacion **** in Benidorm opened, and in February 2011, the company reopened the 4-star Hotel Villa de Biar in the historic and picturesque center of Biar (Alicante) after 3 months of renovations, having obtained a 30-year concession from the City Council. Currently, the group manages approximately 1,469 rooms, representing about 3,100 hotel places with a staff of 360 people in Benidorm, Guardamar, Benimaurell, Vall de Laguar, and Biar.
