About Hospital Nipo-Brasileiro

Hospital Nipo-Brasileiro was built in 1988 to serve, mainly, the Japanese community. Its inauguration came on the 80th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Brazil. At the time, it had 30 beds and 120 employees. Currently, it has more than 240 beds - divided into apartments, infirmary, General, Coronary, and Pediatric ICUs - and a Surgical Center with ten operating rooms. It has a complete and modern technological park for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. In the area of Diagnostic and Treatment Support Services, it offers imaging exams, such as tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, laboratory exams, Hemodynamics and Endoscopy services. For outpatient care, it has external units for Cardiology, Surgery, Dermatology, Specialties, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Trauma and Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Women's Health, and a Diagnostic Unit. Also noteworthy are our Trauma Center and Adult Emergency Room - with specialized teams in cardiology, gynecology and obstetrics, orthopedics and pediatrics 24 hours a day, as well as clinicians and surgeons.
