About Holstebro Kommune

In Holstebro Municipality, we have 'Culture for Difference'. But culture is not just something we look at as an audience. It is also what we do together. What drives growth and development. And what helps to build bridges to each other. Because we believe that the shorter the distance between people, the more it opens up. In everyday life, this means that we rarely see things as they are. We prefer to see what they can become. We work to ensure that all 5,500 employees in Holstebro Municipality experience well-being, meaning, and professional development in their various work cultures. We are concerned with companies and people's opportunities in life - from cradle to grave. Therefore, over 30 different professional groups are employed under the same roof. This diversity in professionalism and tasks across administrations and sectors makes the municipality a vibrant workplace in constant change. Every year, we train 130 apprentices from vocational education and receive 480 students from higher education as well as a good handful of project students from universities. We score highly when we investigate whether the workplace is an attractive and pleasant place to be, and whether employees are satisfied with their work tasks. Perhaps it is because joy, development, and perspective are at the core of management's values, regardless of where you work in the organization? Perhaps it is because everyone in the municipality helps to create value in society? Or perhaps it is because working in a culture with skilled and attentive colleagues makes a difference?
