Hirota Food Supermercados

About Hirota Food Supermercados

We are a company with five decades of history. Founded by a family of Japanese origin that gives its name to the supermarket chain, Hirota currently has 130 stores in the capital and greater São Paulo. Our history is intertwined with that of many employees who have been with us for years. They started in roles considered simpler and today hold leadership positions. As our slogan says "A family serving families", this is how we work to face daily challenges, grow and build a valuable institution that effectively contributes to the community. The values passed down from father to son, such as faith, family, school, and work, are the hallmark of our management. And it is these foundations that guide our collaborators and the day-to-day operations. Concerned with the community and the environment, we develop social and sustainability programs, in addition to our commitment to seeking greater efficiency, quality, and respect for the customer. Over the years, the Hirota chain has created a new concept of supermarket with exclusive services. Customers find in our stores the largest mix of oriental products available in São Paulo supermarkets; a fruit and vegetable section with always fresh products and organic options; and the Grab and Go service, with a food court and ready-to-eat meals with the Hirota quality seal. We also invest in campaigns to encourage a healthy lifestyle, inspired by Japanese culture, with a special shelf and actions to guide customers with tips on quality of life and well-being. We are also the first supermarket chain in Brazil to sell the Daiso Japan by Hirota line of Japanese household products.
