About Hessing

For 60 years, Hessing has specialized in cutting and processing fruits and vegetables. With four locations in the Netherlands, over 1500 employees, and 800 ready-to-eat fresh products, Hessing has grown from a small family business in Zuid-Scharwoude, North Holland, into one of the three largest suppliers of freshly cut fruits and vegetables. As a dynamic, healthy, growing, and ambitious company with daily challenges, we have only one promise that counts: all our products must be easy, delicious, healthy, and fresh. Or rather, super fresh! Within hours, thousands of kilograms of fresh fruits and vegetables are inspected, cut, washed, mixed, packaged, and delivered. Millions of packaged fresh products are transported every week from various locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark. Our location in Helmond is a specialty factory for meal salads, salad dishes, raw vegetables, fresh fruit, and organic production. The factory in Zwaagdijk-Oost produces cut, ready-to-cook vegetables. In Sint Annaparochie, our factory is for food services, and our location in Belfeld supplies custom-made products to large clients. Additionally, Hessing has its own transport company, Hessing Logistiek. Our teams are diverse, driven, and ambitious. Through craftsmanship, drive, commitment, and flexibility, our employees contribute daily to the further growth and professionalization of our company. In total, over a thousand people work at Hessing. The organization is led by Frank, the son of founder Jan. Frank's brothers Coos and Hans, and sister Marian, also work in the company. Father Jan is retired but still involved with his company as an advisor.
