About Helibras

Helibras is the only Brazilian manufacturer of helicopters. The company is an Airbus Group subsidiary, the market’s leader, controlled by the Airbus Group. With almost 50% participation in Brazil’s biturbine helicopter’s fleet, Helibras has been in operation since 1978 and maintains installations in Itajubá (MG), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brasília (DF), Atibaia (SP) and São Paulo (SP). Its factory employs more than 550 employees and has a production capacity of 36 aircraft per year. Located in Itajubá, its installations manufacture various helicopter models that supply the civilian, governmental and military segments. Since its foundation, Helibras has delivered more than 750 helicopters in Brazil; the Squirrel model makes up for 70% of this number. The company is among the 1000 Biggest and Best Exame Magazine Business Review and among the 1000 Largest Companies of Valor Econômico.
