Heilsa was founded in 2020 by Vas Georgiou, an HR professional who saw first-hand what was wrong with the industry and decided to do something about it. Vas began his career in HR and Recruitment Advisory, working across multiple sectors before identifying a consistent pattern: most recruitment agencies were optimising for volume, not quality. In 2020, he founded Heilsa Recruitment with a clear mission — to offer companies a service built around their actual needs, not just their open roles. That means taking time to understand team culture, candidate character, and long-term fit before a single CV is sent. Today, Heilsa operates primarily in Cyprus within Legal & Compliance, Financial Services, iGaming and Tech. "Our clients describe us as the recruitment partner they've always been looking for."
