The Hawai'i State Department of Education employs about 22,000 full-time employees, including teachers, librarians, counselors, educational officers, and support staff. We seek talented, skilled, credentialed, and enthusiastic employees who will help deliver on the promise of the Department's Strategic Plan. Job opportunities are available on the main populated islands: Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, Maui, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, and Kauaʻi. For teachers, the greatest demand occurs on the neighbor islands and in the more rural areas of Oʻahu, away from Honolulu.
