About Hapogys

Hapogys is above all an association of families. Created in 1961 by parents concerned about finding an appropriate support response for the disabilities of their children, it has continuously evolved thanks to the commitment of an active and democratic governance composed of parents and volunteers. Thus, it currently manages medico-social establishments and services in the Gironde department and supports children and adults with disabilities (cerebral palsy, severe multiple disabilities, motor impairments, neurodegenerative diseases). Our mission? To put our values, skills, and creativity at the service of the quality of life, the journey, and the citizenship of people with disabilities, in an innovative environment, thanks to the driving forces of the association: members, administrators, volunteers, and professionals. Hapogys means: 350 people supported 350 committed professionals 6 establishments and services Hapogys is a community of women and men committed to common directions and objectives in order to promote a supportive and caring society where the fulfillment of each person is possible, regardless of their disability and their choices. Locally and nationally, Hapogys advocates with public authorities and institutional actors to have the rights and needs of people with disabilities recognized, with the support of the Fédération Paralysie Cérébrale France, of which it is a part. Hapogys carries out actions to raise funds to finance projects for the people supported, in conjunction with its network of public and private partners built up since its creation in 1961.
