Handelshøyskolen BI is a self-owned foundation whose sole purpose is teaching and research. All economic surplus is used to strengthen BI's academic and learning environment. Handelshøyskolen BI is one of Europe's largest business schools with 20,000 students. We are the main supplier of economic and administrative expertise in Norway, and have educated over 200,000 candidates since 1983. The academic activities at Handelshøyskolen BI are divided into eight institutes, and a number of research centers are linked to our institutes. The research covers a wide range of subject areas and disciplines expected of a modern European business school. Handelshøyskolen BI has an international profile. Our researchers collaborate with professionals from other countries, and exchange expertise that benefits students. We collaborate with nearly 170 schools in more than 40 countries. This gives students excellent opportunities to gain international experience through exchange. Handelshøyskolen BI customizes and specially develops courses and programs for a variety of industries and organizations within the public and private sectors. The programs are adapted to meet the competence needs of companies and individuals.
