The Vaud Association of Medico-Social Institutions (HévivA) is a professional association that brings together medico-social establishments (EMS) operating in the canton of Vaud. HévivA is a member of CURAVIVA Switzerland, the national umbrella association for social homes and institutions. HévivA's main mission is to support its members in their activities, particularly to enable them to better fulfill their obligations towards the residents they host, who are adults, most often elderly, dependent socially, physically or psychologically, and who require specific care. HévivA acts as a link, on the one hand between these establishments, and on the other hand between them, the public, the authorities, and other health partners. The association is non-profit. Its main goals are the well-being of residents and the smooth running of the establishments.
