GVE Grundstücksverwaltung Stadt Essen GmbH was founded in 1979. It is a subsidiary of Immobilien Management Essen GmbH (IME) and thus of the City of Essen. The core business of GVE and its around 100 employees with Managing Director Dirk Miklikowski is the management, operation and administration of municipal special properties as well as the new construction and refurbishment of buildings. Our portfolio includes buildings in the areas of culture, education, assembly and gastronomy. These include properties well-known far beyond Essen, such as the Stadion an der Hafenstraße, the Philharmonie Essen, the Lichtburg, or the Museum Folkwang. As a service provider, we support the City of Essen in many important investment decisions that shape the cityscape and make Essen an attractive metropolis. Our range of tasks is large: this includes facility management, project management, realization of construction measures such as renovation, refurbishment or new construction of buildings, as well as event management.
