On the Gurten, 858 meters above sea level, guests can enjoy a spectacular view over the city of Bern, a diverse culinary offering, and a variety of recreational activities. The Gurten – Park im Grünen is unique and incomparable in the greater Bern area. Close to the city, yet far from the hectic hustle and bustle. In just 17 minutes by public transport, guests are in the green with a fantastic and unique view of the federal capital. A view that is second to none and remains in the memories of every guest. The Gurten – Park im Grünen, operated by the Gurten – Park im Grünen Foundation, was opened in 1999 and, with its 100,000 m2 of green space on the municipality of Köniz, is the local recreation area for the city of Bern. True to the motto "Gurten for everyone", our goal is to offer unique opportunities for all generations. Our core competencies lie in the organization and execution of events, banquets, and seminars for up to 3000 people, in the care and catering of individual guests within our two restaurants, and ultimately in the constant development of new cultural events. We see ourselves as passionate hosts for all visitors to the Gurten. Our employees live and love our unconventional approach. They are relaxed, open, uncomplicated, and excellent at what they do. They ensure that our guests feel comfortable. They even wear jeans and use the informal "du" with all colleagues – including the CEO. We work as a team, help each other, deliver top services, and remain relaxed. True to the motto "Up and out of the city", the Gurten - Park im Grünen is a place to experience, enjoy, and broaden horizons.
