The company’s diversified fleet is equipped with cutting-edge technology to meet the needs of both traditional and emerging offshore and onshore energy markets. As Gulf Drilling International recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, the company has now also become the largest jack-up operator in Qatar upon acquiring three jack-up rigs from Seadrill Holdings in the Gulf Drill Joint Venture. GDI’s newest rigs are Al Bidda (previously known as West Castor), Mesaieed (previously known as West Telesto), and Laffan (previously known as West Tucana). GDI’s onshore and offshore rigs continue to break record milestones for themselves by completing years without recordable incidents and lost time injuries.
