The Unicomm SpA Group is an important player in the Italian large-scale retail sector, comprising Unicomm Srl, ARCA Spa, and GMF SPA. UNICOMM SRL Founded in Veneto, over its nearly 70-year history, it has grown to be present in 7 regions and 32 Italian provinces. It has over 7,000 employees and more than 270 directly owned stores. It operates in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, and Lazio, in addition to numerous affiliated stores. The company operates under seven brands that customers have come to know and appreciate over the years: Emisfero Ipermercati, Famila, Mega, and Emi for medium-sized stores, A&O for convenience stores, C+C Cash&Carry for wholesale, and Hurrà for discount stores. Unicomm has been associated with the Selex Commercial Group since its founding in 1964. ARCA SPA ARCA's history began in 1972 when some wholesalers from Romagna decided to form an integrated group to increase their bargaining power with manufacturers, transferring the benefits to a vast network of retail dealers. In the early 1980s, with its entry into the Selex Group, Arca strengthened its position in food wholesale. Ten years later, the first supermarkets under the Super A&O, Famila, and Svelto A&O brands were developed. Today, Arca has over 90 supermarkets and 13 cash & carry stores. GMF SPA Grandi Magazzini Fioroni S.p.A. is a story of constant success that has led the company to develop its distribution offering in Umbria and neighboring regions (Lazio, Tuscany, and Marche), establishing itself as an important entity in the regional economy and a reference point in the Italian distribution landscape. In its continuous pursuit of innovation, GMF opened its first Cash & Carry stores, supermarkets, and discount stores in Umbria. This innovative drive was further confirmed by the opening of the Emisfero shopping center in Perugia in 2007. GMF positions itself as a company that makes multichannel a strategic imperative. GMF is present in the Central regions with 1 Emi Superstore, 19 Supermarkets, 22 Discount stores (17 under the Hurrà brand), 40 affiliated stores, and 7 Cash & Carry outlets, employing approximately 1,000 people.
