Grupo Salmeron

About Grupo Salmeron

With over four decades in the market, Salmeron is today one of the largest and most renowned companies in the environmental management, waste treatment and disposal segment, in Brazil and Latin America. Founded in 1979, its beginnings were much earlier, back in the 1950s, with the Spanish immigrant Francisco Salmeron Cabrerizo, who collected scrap metal for recycling on the streets of Granada, Spain. What is known today as sustainability and environmental care were already important issues and business opportunities for the Salmeron family. It was through manual material collection and horse-drawn cart transport that Grupo Salmeron was born – today it has automatic sorting systems and an extensive fleet of vehicles and machinery for each type of waste. A pioneer in energy recycling in Brazil, Grupo Salmeron is certified by ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2004, FSC® and licensed by competent bodies, such as CETESB and IBAMA. Among the products and services offered by Salmeron are: - Collection and Transport - Recycling, Valorization and Disposal - Buying and Selling Recyclables - Bioenergy Generation - Rental of Machines and Equipment - Environmental Services
