About Grupo Ferroeste

Founded in 1986, CBF Industria de Gusa, a steel company belonging to the Ferroeste Group, has a tradition in the production of green nodular pig iron. The group is the first in the world to receive carbon-neutral certification. Green pig iron refers to production with more sustainable practices, such as the use of charcoal instead of coke, and the implementation of technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We are certified in ISO 9001:2015, an international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). It is based on several quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the involvement of top management, a process approach, and continuous improvement.
