About Grupo Farsimán

Grupo Farsimán began operations in Honduras in July 1958 with the opening of the first Farmacia Simán branch, located opposite the Central Park in San Pedro Sula. From its inception, Farmacia Simán started distributing foreign pharmaceutical laboratories, initiating the operations of what is now Droguería Simán. At the same time, the manufacturing of its own pharmaceutical products began with five brands still marketed nationally: Expecto Broncol Jarabe, Limonada Purgante, Ferro Hierro, Tusimín Jarabe, and Fungifar líquido. Thus, Laboratorios Farsimán formally began operations in 1970. Currently, Grupo Farsimán consists of three Business Units including several companies involved in the manufacturing, distribution, and retail sale of medicines, employing over 3500 collaborators. Laboratorios Farsimán: A Business Unit dedicated to manufacturing medicines, offering around 300 presentations including syrups, tablets, capsules, creams, and suspensions. A new, modern pharmaceutical plant will be inaugurated soon. Droguería Simán: A Business Unit dedicated to the distribution and sale of medicines and consumer products nationwide. Farmacia Simán: A Business Unit focused on retail sales, currently operating over 110 pharmacies across the country. Farmacia Simán represents "The Complete Pharmacy". It shares a modern logistical distribution center with the Droguería Business Unit, spanning over three thousand square meters. In 2013, Fundación Farsiman was established to continue the social work focused on health, education, and housing that Grupo Farsiman has carried out over the years, based on the values of its founders.
