About Grup Tramuntana

Grup Tramuntana is a company in the Distribution sector. We are one of the main commercial and service benchmarks in the border area with France. History: The origins of Grup Tramuntana date back to 1945, when a small shop named Casa Raurich was established in El Portús (La Jonquera), a border town between Spain and France, dedicated to the sale of food products. The privileged location on this European communication axis encouraged commercial activity between the two countries after the World War, especially from the 1960s onwards, coinciding with the tourism boom. In 1967, Josep Raurich and Marissé Santaló began the first major expansion of the company. They built the first shopping center named Tramuntana, adapted to the needs and demands of the customers of the time: mainly French tourists traveling by car. This large space housed the first supermarket with food products and liquors as the main attraction, but also gift and decoration items, as well as footwear and leather goods. Who we are: Grup Tramuntana is characterized by being a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and continuously growing family business. Currently, our services are focused on 4 major divisions: supermarkets, perfumeries, fashion, and restoration (restaurants and hotels). Our philosophy: What often distinguishes one establishment from another lies in the people who work there and who continuously seek customer satisfaction and trust. We work so that everyone who visits our establishments values it as a good experience. Our mission: We want to be constantly aware of the new products consumers demand, fashion and trends, and changes in habits. We are very interested in always paying attention to technological changes that improve the consumer experience.
