The CITADELLE group, named as such since 2001, was founded a century ago. It is indeed a subsidiary of the Comte-Serres Group, a family business par excellence, the first stone of which was laid by Louis Serres in 1919 in Algiers. This first company "L. Serres & Cie" was involved in the transport of early fruits and citrus from Algeria to mainland France. The Citadelle group now owns several companies in the car and motorcycle sector, spread across Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Reunion Island, and Mayotte. Among these companies are CCIE (Comptoir Caraïbe d'Importation et d'Exportation, representing the TOYOTA, LEXUS, SUZUKI brands), SODIVA (which distributes the CITROEN, DS, FIAT, ALFA ROMEO, and JEEP brands), GT Distribution (Autodistribution Martinique), PNEUS CASH, PNEUDEAL.COM, Auto Hall Center Distribution Guyane (Sud Motors in Guyana), GSA-PDK, le Monde de l'Occasion, CARMEN (short and long-term vehicle rental), Mécanique Plaisance Services, as well as MMCD in Mayotte, Kaizen Moto in Martinique and Guadeloupe, and Kaizen Motors in Guyana. The Group's strategy focuses on creating synergy between the automotive and nautical businesses in the French Overseas Departments of America and more recently in Reunion Island.
