Founded in 1985, Green by Missako was developed and idealized by pediatrician Marcia Missako Oura. Facing the challenges of being a mother, Marcia realized the difficulty in finding clothing options that combined beauty and comfort. "At the time, clothes were either comfortable and very basic, or more beautiful and uncomfortable." To solve this problem, Marcia, who knew babies' and children's anatomy very well, sought to develop clothing in her collections that were suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions like birthday parties. The result was the Green by Missako brand, which caters to babies and children from 0 to 10 years old and seeks to convey in each piece the vibrant joy of colors, the beauty of difference, and the value of authenticity. Marcia understands that although all parents prioritize their children, they are still busy people. For this reason, she aims to offer a complete solution, meeting the need for comfort, elegance, and durability of clothing, making every choice a success. The Green store assures customer satisfaction in terms of quality, fashion appropriateness, comfort, ease of maintenance, and the combination of pieces; this is our mission, this is our commitment. Another important value for the brand was the courage to take the lead, exporting its clothes (1987), being a pioneer in single-brand stores (1992), and opening franchises (1999) in the children's fashion market. It also remains one of the main promoters of advancing the textile calendar.
