Positioned outside major urban centres, we shine the spotlight on small communities, highlighting the unique interests of our audience with information they can’t get anywhere else. We grow by giving back to these communities: highlighting local musicians, supporting fundraising initiatives, and amplifying nearby events. Golden West was born on the AM dial, but has always embraced new technology. Early on we adopted FM radio, then websites, now apps and voice-activated technologies to provide local news and information.
