Gerber Topsoil LLC was founded in 1988 by Ken Gerber. The business that started out as a “Mom & Pop” operation with a screener, one loader and one red Mack dump truck has become one of the largest, well know, & respected family owned topsoil businesses in Central New York. In 2001 when Ken passed away his wife, Janet, continued to run the business with their son, Rob. Through the years the business has expanded and evolved from just the making and sale of topsoil to many other facets of the construction industry. Recently Gerber Topsoil LLC became a third generation family business when Rob’s son and daughter joined the company.
