Created by the City of Gennevilliers in 1950, Gennevilliers Habitat implements two main aspects of local housing policy daily: constant maintenance of its properties to preserve the quality of offered housing and the growth of its portfolio through the production of new and diverse housing units. The organization and activities of Gennevilliers Habitat are part of an approach aimed at ensuring social diversity while protecting the territory and its economically and socially vulnerable populations. Gennevilliers Habitat by the numbers: 8,500 housing units, representing approximately 75% of the social housing stock in the City of Gennevilliers (43,000 inhabitants); 164 commercial or artisanal activity premises; 4,273 garages and parking spaces; 82% is the satisfaction rate expressed by tenants regarding their landlord (survey conducted in 2017 by AORIF, Association of Hlm organizations in Île-de-France).
