Gasser Felstechnik AG, founded in 1922 in Lungern, is a traditional and independent company in the Obwalden construction industry. It employs around 300 people, over 75% of whom have specialized training as blasting technicians, drill operators, anchor specialists, gunite applicators, foundation builders, railway specialists, and mountain guides. In 1996, Gasser Felstechnik AG was the first construction company in Central Switzerland to be certified according to ISO 9001, in 2001 according to ISO 14001, and in 2004 according to OHSAS 18001. In September 2009, we obtained the certificate for in-house production control according to SN EN 206 – 1:2000 at the Beton-Anlage Brienz AG. Recertification with external audits takes place every three years. In 2000, the company received the Innovation Award from the Central Switzerland Chamber of Commerce. In 2006, the company was honored with the Swiss Logistic Award, and in 2007, Cantina Caverna won the Swiss Gastro Award in the "Classic" category. In March 2008, the company was awarded second place in the Central Switzerland Entrepreneur Award by the Swiss Venture Club. Today, the company is among the leading addresses in Switzerland for challenging projects in or on mountains where specialists with extensive experience are required.
