Founded by four brothers with a family tradition in the primary and livestock sector, Ganados Barberena is a company based in Navarra, Spain. We specialize in producing beef and equine meat for both national and international markets. Our extensive experience has established us as leaders in the sector, recognized for both our volume and the quality of the livestock products we market. Ganados Barberena is committed to continuous growth and process improvement, with our production area currently focused on Navarra and neighboring provinces. Our innovative production system ensures the highest quality products through four key commitments: animal welfare, carefully managed farm feeding, absolute traceability of each animal, and a certified, controlled final production. Ganados Barberena is synonymous with attention to detail, ensuring our animals live in the best conditions to produce a premium product. BEEF: Animals selected for our farms are examined for sex, breed, weight, and age, meeting final customer requirements. We conduct exhaustive animal welfare controls with individualized monitoring throughout their stay. Our own facilities guarantee an annual production of 14,000 calves, supplying leading commercial chains and specialized outlets in Spain. EQUINE: In addition to our 1,500 own stalls, we collaborate with local farmers under strict control and feeding standards, achieving an annual production exceeding 10,000 equines, making us undisputed leaders in the Spanish equine sector. Our proximity to the Pyrenees and equine farming regions allows us to source a high volume of meat-grade foals according to client needs. The unique nature of equine species requires specific handling practices to ensure animal welfare, which, along with careful feeding, guarantees a high-quality final product. Our weekly slaughter volume allows us to select merchandise types based on required weight, age, and fat content for each client. MARKETING: Ganados Barberena also handles the marketing of its products, positioning us as a key reference for beef and equine livestock exports nationally. Our highly qualified staff ensures products are delivered according to client specifications and quality parameters. We also operate our own transport company (Maitxene), utilizing livestock trailers for live animals and refrigerated trucks to ensure animal welfare during transit and timely delivery of finished products in optimal condition.
