Fundación Cudeca – A special way of caring. Cudeca Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 by Joan Hunt, a visionary who promoted a pioneering project in Spain: to offer professional and free palliative care to people with cancer and other advanced diseases, as well as comprehensive support to their families. Since then, we have accompanied more than 20,000 patients and thousands of family members, always guided by our philosophy: “although no more days can be added to life, life can be added to the days”. Our headquarters and care center are located in Benalmádena, Málaga, but our impact reaches much further. Through our charity shops in Málaga, Seville, and Córdoba, we extend Cudeca's message and work to other territories, generating resources that make it possible to continue caring and bringing our mission closer to more people. Mission: To provide professional and free palliative care to those who need it, ensuring dignity, relief, and quality of life until the end. Vision: To be a benchmark in the field of palliative care in Spain and to continue growing thanks to the solidarity of society, with a person-centered approach. Values: Commitment, sensitivity, empathy, professionalism, respect, and teamwork, always guided by our “special way of caring”. Cudeca is a diverse entity, with multiple departments where different professional profiles and volunteers can find their place: Care Department: medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, physiotherapy, and care volunteering. Volunteering Department: coordination of people supporting care, events, and logistics. Finance and General Services Department: administrative management, accounting, maintenance, and support. Human Resources Department: attraction, development, and well-being of those who are part of Cudeca. Charity Shops Department: social and economic engine with a direct impact on the sustainability of our work. Training and Research Department: development of knowledge in palliative care and professional training. Communication and Fundraising Department: dissemination of our mission and generation of social and economic support. Joining Cudeca means much more than a job: it is sharing a life mission and social impact. We seek people who identify with our cause and who, from any position or department, are ambassadors of our work. People with empathy and sensitivity towards the suffering of others, commitment to the organization's values, teamwork skills, respect, professionalism, and a passion for contributing to thousands of people and families living with dignity, even in the most difficult moments. Being part of Cudeca is also a way to contribute to society, to leave a positive mark that transforms lives and generates hope. If you want your work to have meaning, impact, and contribute to building a more solidary community, at Cudeca you will find a diverse, humane, and profoundly committed team to the life and dignity of people.
