Fundación INTRAS is the first entity in Castilla y León to fully cover the Integrated Model of Care for people with severe and prolonged mental illness, developed by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities. The Foundation has piloted the implementation of the model in the province of Zamora, which covers all social and health aspects (psychosocial rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, residential care, Occupational Center, day centers, leisure activities, etc.) of mental illness disability in coordination with the Psychiatry Unit of the Zamora Health Complex. INTRAS operates under the principle of recovering the life project of the person affected by a disability. This philosophy considers the evolution of the person with mental illness disability from health and psychosocial rehabilitation devices to employment, through social resources, among which occupational centers stand out. All of this is supported by the existence of accommodation possibilities, education or training programs or services, and leisure and free time alternatives for these individuals.
