About Fundació IRES

We are a private foundation that has been working since 1969 in the social, psychological, and educational care of marginalized individuals and groups at social risk or with economic difficulties. We carry out social action with vulnerable people from an integral vision in the following areas of action: Children, Youth and Family; Family and Gender Violence; Social Inclusion; and Social Action in the Judicial System. The direct social care with people allows us to research and create our own intervention models transferable to other professionals and territories. Therefore, we conduct research and innovation, disciplines to which we add training. We also develop advocacy campaigns with public authorities and disseminate the results of all this, as we understand awareness-raising as part of the work. More than 40 years of service to people and families with rigor, ethics, and professional quality position us as benchmarks in social action within the penal system, in the care and visibility of children who are victims of gender violence and their mothers, and in the re-education of batterers. From now on, our vision leads us to prioritize efforts and resources in: * Children and mothers who are victims of family and gender violence. * Training of parents so that they can take care of their children, especially single mothers. * Prevention of delinquency and behavioral problems among young people.
