The concern for social promotion and the improvement of the living conditions of the needy, especially the sick, was the starting point for Father Albino Alves da Cunha e Silva to unite Catanduva around his ideal and become its greatest benefactor, building a legacy that benefits thousands of people today. His first work was the Santa Casa, now Hospital Padre Albino. A man of vision and boldness, and thinking of providing his hospital with professionals, also ensuring medical care for his "poor", Father Albino decided to create a medical school. The first step taken was the transformation of the Beneficent Association of Catanduva, the maintaining entity of Hospital Padre Albino, into a Foundation, to organize the maintaining entity of the colleges. On 03/29/68, the first meeting of the Padre Albino Foundation was held, which, even after the death of its patron in 1973, continued its work through the members of the Board of Trustees, who continue his work with efficiency, seriousness, and transparency. With a vision for the future, but always thinking about the well-being and growth of the people benefited by it, as was Father Albino's wish. Currently, the Padre Albino Foundation maintains a corporate pool composed of Emílio Carlos Hospital and Padre Albino Hospital, which house the structure of the Catanduva Cancer Hospital, the Padre Albino University Center - UNIFIPA, the Padre Albino Museum, the Recanto Monsenhor Albino Elderly Home, in addition to the administration of the Municipal Outpatient Clinic of Specialties - AME Catanduva, a reference in care in the State of São Paulo.
