Fundação Fé e Alegria do Brasil

About Fundação Fé e Alegria do Brasil

With over 40 years of history in Brazil, the Fundação Fé e Alegria, a Popular Education and Social Promotion initiative of the Society of Jesus, serves people in situations of social vulnerability in 14 Brazilian states. Its premise is to contribute to a democratic, just, and supportive society. The Fundação Fé e Alegria believes that walking with the vulnerable is the only path to a more just and fraternal world. Therefore, the institution is located where the asphalt ends, in peripheral communities, to offer educational activities, vocational training courses, sports and cultural workshops, as well as partnerships with public schools, daycare centers, and shelters, integration activities for Venezuelan migrants, and support services for people experiencing homelessness.
