About Fryshuset

Fryshuset enables young people to change the world through their passions. Since 1984, Fryshuset has been working for young people. All young people. Even those that no one else has believed in. With us, the door is always open to those who want to get involved and develop themselves – regardless of background, interest, and ambition. We create communities where young people are seen, heard, and counted. On this foundation, we conduct about 60 different activities in the areas of youth culture, work & entrepreneurship, role models & future confidence, and schools. Fryshuset's activities range from culture and entertainment to projects that directly address the most difficult social problems of our time. Fryshuset is for all young people and focuses particularly on those living in exclusion. We believe that everyone can succeed and deserves a second chance. We have meeting places in Hammarby Sjöstad, Husby, Gothenburg, Helsingborg, Malmö, Kalmar, Torsås, Nybro, and Karlskrona. We also have cooperation agreements with Forandringshuset in Norway and Fairhuset in Denmark. Fryshuset's activities are currently financed through grants from foundations and funds, school fees, and sales of services. We also receive grants from the cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, as well as financial support from generous companies and engaged private individuals. Fryshuset is a religiously and politically independent organization.
