Freedom Federal Credit Union is a federally-insured, community-chartered credit union serving members who live, work, worship, volunteer, or go to school in Harford County, Maryland, and their families, as well as businesses operating in the county. Freedom was founded in 1953 as MATCOM Federal Credit Union, and maintains a strong relationship with Aberdeen Proving Ground, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Harford Memorial Hospital, and the education community of Harford County. The credit union has five local Harford County branches, online financial services, and a 24/7/365 Member Service Call Center.
