About FONDATION PERCE-NEIGE

Created in 1966 on the initiative of the famous actor Lino Ventura, the FONDATION PERCE-NEIGE's mission is to welcome and provide tailored support to children and adults affected by intellectual disabilities, physical or psychological handicaps, multiple disabilities, or autism. Today, it is chaired by Christophe Lasserre-Ventura, the founder's grandson. For over 55 years, FONDATION PERCE-NEIGE has strived to enable people with disabilities to lead serene lives in a humane and caring environment. It plays a key role through concrete actions, such as: Creating and managing residential homes to accommodate people with disabilities. Advising and supporting families. Engaging public authorities. Supporting educational programs for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Supporting research programs. Currently, FONDATION PERCE-NEIGE manages 52 Maisons Perce-Neige specialized facilities (IME, EAM, EANM, MAS) throughout France. In 2016, it opened the first Specialized Reception House in Boulogne-Billancourt for the reception and support of people with Locked-in syndrome (LIS), a rare neurological condition often caused by a stroke. France still lacks 45,000 places to accommodate people with disabilities, whether children or adults. This is why FONDATION PERCE-NEIGE regularly carries out information and awareness campaigns with its institutional partners and the general public to highlight the needs and expectations of people with disabilities and their families. FONDATION PERCE-NEIGE is also authorized to receive donations, bequests, gifts, and life insurance contracts.
