About Fondation John Bost

Created in 1848 by Pastor John Bost, the John BOST Foundation is a non-profit Protestant health and medico-social institution, recognized as being of public utility since 1877. The John BOST Foundation has a health (Private Health Establishment of Collective Interest ESPIC) and medico-social vocation and is situated within the framework of medium and long-term care. The Foundation welcomes, supports, and cares for people (children, adolescents, adults, and seniors) suffering from mental disorders and physical and/or mental disabilities, as well as dependent elderly people, whose condition requires an adapted social life. It has approximately 2,000 places, spread across 42 health and medico-social establishments or services. Currently, more than 2,300 employees form interdisciplinary teams with diverse training: medical, paramedical, educational, technical, and administrative. The Foundation is historically located in the Dordogne valley in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, it has now developed in 4 regions of France (Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie, Ile-de-France, Normandy). The Foundation has developed an original project for supporting these individuals, in the form of a therapeutic project that includes a global approach to the person, medical and psychotherapeutic, pedagogical and educational, social, cultural, and spiritual initiatives.
