The Maison de Santé Protestante de Bordeaux Bagatelle is a private, non-profit Foundation, established in 1863 and recognized as being of public utility in 1867. The Foundation has a health, medico-social, and social mission and has over 1,400 professionals across various sites in Gironde. It manages and operates 10 facilities, including a Private Health Establishment of Collective Interest which comprises a 250-bed hospital for medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and follow-up and rehabilitation care, a Home Hospital (200 beds), a Rehabilitation Care establishment (70 beds), a DomCare Unit, an EHPAD, a collective nursery, a socio-cultural center, a health center, and a Training Institute. In the current economic climate, the Bagatelle Foundation is restructuring, seeking to develop its strengths, form alliances with neighboring establishments, while maintaining its values and identity. It is engaged in a health cooperation group with the "Robert PICQUÉ" Military Instruction Hospital, aiming to consolidate all activities on the Bagatelle site in 2023, within a civil and military hospital complex. This hospital establishment will participate in public service without exceeding fees. Our hospital is located in Talence and Villenave d’Ornon, adjacent communes within the Bordeaux Metropolis, approximately 45 minutes from the Arcachon Basin and the Atlantic Ocean, and very close to the Bordeaux vineyards. Saint-Jean station, serving Paris in 2 hours via the LGV high-speed train, is 15 minutes away.
