Freedom and living normally with a physical disability. Fokus makes it possible. A Fokus client lives in a fully adapted, single-story home. The Fokus homes are spread throughout a residential area or apartment building and are not recognizable as Fokus homes from the outside. Fokus provides assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The client decides what needs to be done, when, and how. That is the special thing about Fokus: the client is in control! Fokus is active throughout the Netherlands. There are approximately 1400 Fokus homes in almost a hundred Fokus projects. We employ approximately 2400 people. Most employees work as ADL assistants in one of the Fokus projects. Fokus is a large organization, but there is an informal atmosphere in the projects and offices. Our collaboration with clients and among ourselves is characterized by professionalism, mutual respect, coordination, and consultation.
