About FCBA

Created in 1952, for and at the request of professionals, FCBA (fusion of CTBA and Afocel in 2007) is a tool for companies in the wood and furniture sectors, working in research and development, information, technical assistance, training, standardization, and certification. From the beginning, its mission has been to promote technical progress, participate in improving efficiency, and guarantee quality in the industry. Its status is that of an Industrial Technical Center. It is part of the CTI (Industrial Technical Centers) network. It is managed by a Board of Directors. An industrial technical center serving companies in the wood and furniture industry Forestry, Sawmilling, Packaging, Paper Joinery, Panels, Flooring, Framing, Furniture, Fittings, Trade. FCBA is structured around its laboratories and its teams of engineers, researchers, and technicians whose skills draw on varied knowledge required by the complexity of wood as a material and the diversity of its applications. It employs 350 people across seven geographic sites.
