Farmacias Similares, belonging to the Grupo Por un País Mejor, was established on September 8, 1997, with the purpose of offering health products and services to the most disadvantaged sectors of the country. In 2002, Farmacias Similares intensified its presence with more than 1000 branches throughout Mexico. In 2003, the pharmaceutical chain arrived in Guatemala, taking the first step towards its internationalization. By 2004, they had 2000 branches, with the aim of improving the health conditions of all Mexicans. Currently, there are more than 4000 branches and franchises established throughout Mexico, Chile, and Guatemala. Farmacias Similares is the leading company in the Sale and Distribution of Generic Medicines and Health Products in Mexico and Latin America.
