About Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW

Thanks to an interdisciplinary team of specialists in optometry, medicine, and physics, as well as external lecturers in ophthalmology, orthoptics, low vision, workplace physiology, business administration, and clinical optometry, we are able to address the most diverse challenges. We have international experience in specialties such as the examination board of the European Diploma of Optometry (ECOO), the leadership of the ECOO Education Committee, collaboration on standardization committees, and leadership roles in major optometry associations. We are members of leading optometry associations such as EAOO, ECOO, AAO, VDCO, and IVBS, as well as the national associations Optik Schweiz and SSOO. Through EAOO membership or their own status, all institute employees have access to the European network for research and clinical optometry.
