Our success story began with a sensational pioneering achievement: In 1892, electric power flowed for the first time in the city of Zurich. The next highlight followed shortly thereafter: Our engineers commissioned a 140 km long power line from Graubünden to Zurich. Since then, we have been on the move every day, dynamic and visionary. We invest in renewable energies and intelligent energy solutions and develop individual, modular overall solutions. Sustainability is always at the forefront of all our business activities, for which we have been awarded several times by the Federal Office of Energy. We supply all households in our supply areas with renewable energy and have realized numerous nature conservation projects in Switzerland. Security of supply is another central concern. That is why we are expanding our power grid into an intelligent distribution grid with digital technologies. In addition, we have equipped the city of Zurich with the powerful and non-discriminatory fiber optic network, thus creating an important foundation for a future-proof city.
